ASSASSIN'S CREED: ORIGINS THE EXPERIENCE

Updated: Apr 29, 2018

Playing Assassin’s Creed Origins was an intuitive and fun experience for me. I’ve collected all the previous Assassins creed game and could really connect to this one. There have been a lot of criticisms to the content creator of releasing a game every year which would end up making them feel more unpolished and filled with bugs, but after taking a year break. The game that the Creed’s players deserve has finally arrived

Going Back to Old Roots:

The game has taken a drastic change from the usual year on year release of games while it also drastically changed time Era this game was taking place in. Players were thrown into the world of Ancient Egypt. A place of wonder, amazement and most important of all , Fear.

Any player will be impressed by the amount of detail the game has in its world. As a player, one should at times play the game of a franchise for what it is and not compare it to other previous titles of the saga. This helps in making the experience more new and interesting for the player. Assassin’s creed is one of those games, The player has to pick up the controller and start the game without any prior knowledge of what Assassins are and what their legacy is made up of. They should rather sit down on their comfortable couch, get some pizza and drinks, and switch on the TV to start their experience into the origins of Assassin’s.

Things to Know Before Starting Assassin’s Creed Origins:

Nothing.

Just jump in for a full experience of the game, You don’t need any prior knowledge nor any tips to make your gameplay better. A game is one which doesn’t require any knowledge beforehand to play. Yes, if you like this game. I’d Recommend these games:

  • Assassin’s Creed 4 :Black Flag

  • Assassin’s Creed Unity ( is an amazing game without the bugs xD)

  • Horizon Zero Dawn

  • Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

  • Nioh ( For those who want a higher challenge and feel are a class apart x)

THE GAMEPLAY

Gameplay was something that most of the assassin’s creed games did not focus on, they were meant for an easy streamline experience of a game and so removed various complexities to the combat system of the game. Origins completely revamps and changes the combat to make it more progressive, intense and fun. The RPG elements which are added into the game help the player in learning about the different kind of weapons which would exist and that era and the various histories behind them. There was a time when I was finally able to get the Spear of Cyrene and was so satisfied in using that against waves of enemies. The gameplay was the major aspect of change from the previous iterations which brings Assassin’s Creed to the Era of good and fun games.

The Era of good and fun games comprises of games made from passion of the developers with the good intent of making a game so that players can experience it and have fun. Assassin’s creed coming out of the yearly release has been finally able to achieve that.

The exploration part also takes another level as the player would want to explore and travel to more areas on his horse or a camel (YES, you can ride a camel in this game!) and go around the game world to see what it comprises of.

DIVERSITY

Diversity is an important factor when it comes to video games. Player’s want to play one game for a long amount of time but the game should not be become repetitive by the end of it and should give player’s enough amount of diversity if it wants to sustain their attention. Diversity is n important aspects which only good games take notice of and emphasize In their game.

GTA V is a good example for the amount of diversity it has from the missions, the items and the Map also. It gives the payer a lot of freedom with a lot of well prepared and balanced tools so the player can try to survive by himself. The unconscious survival instinct of trying to stay alive in single player video games gives the player a very high rush as he/she is trying his/her best to prevent game over. This rush is what gives open world games a sense of control.

So let’s talk about diversity in Assassin’s Creed Origins,

The location itself is perfect. Never have I felt so engrossed into trying to learn what the world once was and what their beliefs might have been. The land of Ancient Egypt is one worth discovering for its temples, papyrus, cities, towns, people, statues, tombs and for its sands. Egypt was one of the first civilized lands to exist and to learn about how people lived during that era is what gives this game diversity. It makes you try connecting with the people who might have lived during that time line and what they might have felt during their life.

what issues did they tackle?

what they did do in their leisure time?

what did life mean for them?

what were their goals and so forth.

This shows a very different perspective of how people were during that era. The abundance of side quests helps in complementing that as players interact with so many people who live throughout Egypt and as the role of the Medjay, it is your duty to protect and help them. These instances make the side quests more fun to play as there is now more lore which keeps you invested into the game.

There was a time when I was so invested into the game and the side quests that I ended up playing till morning and kept saying last side quest but all of them were too fun to miss.

The game was able to nail this setting with the different types of side quests that were there. There were a lot of mysteries that the player unfolds, Unsolved murders and people disappearing. At times he rises up for the challenge of defeating enemies stronger than him and protect the sacred land.
